SCIT - School of Computing and IT
The School of Computing and IT in the University of Wolverhampton, UK (acronym: SCIT) is a public university department offering degrees in computing, information technology and mathematics. It has conducted many EU-funded projects including WISER and Webocracy (FP5) and CREEN (FP6) as well as regionally funded EU projects AUTOLEAN and AUTOCLEAR. It hosts the Statistical Cybermetrics Research Group, which has expertise in the measuring and analysis of web data for universities and departments, including through the EU WISER project. This research group has produced over 60 refereed journal articles about Webometrics, publishing in the top journals of information science.
